Mahasti was born in 1946( 25 aban 1325),the younger sister of another famous female singer, Hayedeh. Her voice was discovered by maestro Parviz Yahaghi, the famous Iranian composer and violinist. She was one of the rare signers who "started" her work in Golhaye Rangarang, the most prestigious music program on Iranian National Radio, in 1963 with the song "Ankeh Delam Raa Bordeh Khodaya," composed by Yahaghi and with lyrics from Bijan Taraghi. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mahasti
