Description: Kenny Bernstein crosses the center line and hits some blocks, John Force's tires sudden blow (probably a block hitting it) and the chutes deploy ripping the car in half. At this time Force is relatively OK, with at least a broken ankle and number of other leg injuries. |

bulldg24 ::: Favorites I didnt say full height barriers... Im sure they could design a smaller/shorter version of the SAFER barriers to adapt to NHRA. Just something tall enough to keep the cars from crossing into the other lane should control be lost. 07-09-25 16:28:06 __________________________________________________
Splash1964 ::: Favorites John is a great character hope he's back soon 07-09-25 04:50:08 __________________________________________________
trentc32 ::: Favorites is it just me or does it seem like kenny bernstein is bad luck for the force family......can you say sabatage...lol just a joke!!! 07-09-25 01:50:56 __________________________________________________
Twinn87 ::: Favorites Barriers b/t lanes would never work... People in other classes have to be able to look over and see where the other driver is at compared to him... 07-09-25 01:30:22 __________________________________________________
AifCal ::: Favorites Well I was at MIS when Dario had that terrifying crash and they never showed a replay. I didn't care, I was just glad to hear he was still alive. 07-09-24 22:08:22 __________________________________________________
cherylsteve ::: Favorites Over and over... are you kidding? They played a angle of the race from the far end of the track once .. just once. When it comes to racing at the Texas Motorplex if you want complete coverage do not buy a ticket you are better off at home. I had to make phone calls to know what took place concerning this accident... and they knew more than the spectators at the track... does that seem appropriate? 07-09-24 21:58:35 __________________________________________________
bulldg24 ::: Favorites I dont know about "concrete" barriers, but possibly the new SAFER barriers would be a better option. 07-09-24 21:55:47 __________________________________________________
miseryflash ::: Favorites the censorship is for the safety and privacy of the drivers and their families. they cannot run the video over and over incase of serious injury or even death. how would you feel watching a man die in a crash over and over again if he was your father? perhaps not being given the information that Mr. Force was overall ok, was irresponsible of the track, but replaying that video all day long would have caused even more worry to other drivers who were likely already quite shaken by the accident. 07-09-24 21:26:22 __________________________________________________
cherylsteve ::: Favorites I was at the race on 9-23-07 and just arrived home. At the track they played (1) video about 3 hours after the accident and did not replay it. Texas Motorplex should be ashamed by not running the replay sooner and often at the track. EVERYONE at the track was upset by the lack of information provided by the Texas Motorplex after the incident. They lost alot of future ticket sales including mine by censoring this mishap to paying customers at the track. 07-09-24 18:57:13 __________________________________________________
billylauderdale ::: Favorites I think future modification of timing cone may reduce debris when hit. Maybe it would be best to put concrete barrier between lanes. 07-09-24 18:14:39 __________________________________________________ |
