Bracus72 ::: Favorites I find Pleasantville more a metaphor for today's society. I feel the writer sees the world pushing towards such a society, where everything is just so, and pleasant, and ignoring what is happening to keep this blind existance going. But the people who can't stay blind are forced to fight for their vision of the world, and their old ways are pushed aside for the new, in a good way. Great film. Serenity113 ::: Favorites Pleasantville is an awesome movie and I agree that that what the movie's metaphor was about. Before I only watched the movie because of the effects with the colors.
