Tubewings ::: Favorites 2008-01-17 16:23:53 I believe IRS nailing Typhoon with the briefcase probably foreshadowed things to come. __________________________________________________
lildwayne21 ::: Favorites 2008-01-11 01:57:33 Fuck you! __________________________________________________
legendkiller1984 ::: Favorites 2008-01-09 01:46:31 with the way the flair vs piper match was booked i think it would have easily worked for the last match...flair could have been more over (being the winner of the last match) and roddy, bret and virgil could have whooped his ass and let the fans home on a good note...better than having irs as 1 of the last guys they see (and i know i included virgil) __________________________________________________
lildwayne21 ::: Favorites 2008-01-08 22:22:13 But they've evolved overtime, because of their loyalty to the WWF and because of recognizability. Back then however fans just saw them as great heels and people were deciding whether or not to turn them face or heel. Simple as that. You're watching a 1991 PPV in 2008. You have to understand the fan's perspective and booker's perspective of this whole equation. __________________________________________________
lildwayne21 ::: Favorites 2008-01-08 22:22:06 But he wasn't very poular in the beginning Nick. In fact right now here in 2008, the Undertaker is as probably as popular as he's ever been. I don't care how great your gimmick is, if you don't have skills you're going to receive loud standing ovations like legends like Flair and Undertaker get. __________________________________________________
chris0502 ::: Favorites 2008-01-08 20:10:05 The crowd in Detroit is a smart wrestling fan city and they marked when Undertaker won the belt. __________________________________________________
nwacompton181 ::: Favorites 2008-01-08 16:59:46 agreed, this was the most dull ending i've ever seen on a ppv, stupid lil brain dwayne __________________________________________________
Nicko6180 ::: Favorites 2008-01-08 16:53:26 The undertaker had actually become as popular as Hulk hogan when they fought, even though he was a heel at the time. That's why he turned face a couple of months later. I heard a lot of people were happy the undertaker won. __________________________________________________
lildwayne21 ::: Favorites 2008-01-08 16:50:59 To send the fans home happy. Undertaker was too much of a dull character to send the fans home happy. __________________________________________________
nwacompton181 ::: Favorites 2008-01-08 16:27:15 lameeeeee __________________________________________________
lildwayne21 ::: Favorites 2008-01-08 16:26:18 You have to remember that this is not the attitude era. This is the WWF cartoony era. Back then PPVs always ended with the babyfaces prevailing in the end, the exception being in Madison Square Garden and in the Boston Garden on the house show circuit. That's why this was booked the way it was, and plus LOD were very over back then, so if the WWF Champ gets beat, you have to send a babyface Champion out there to send the crowd home happy. __________________________________________________
lildwayne21 ::: Favorites 2008-01-08 16:16:04 To send the fans home happy. Undertaker was too much of a dull character to send the fans home happy. __________________________________________________
ultimatesin07 ::: Favorites 2008-01-08 14:40:49 "how would you like to hop on that lear tonight and come to beverly hills to have some turkey tomorrow?...only $8" __________________________________________________
nwacompton181 ::: Favorites 2008-01-08 14:40:04 why the hell was this the last match of the ppv? __________________________________________________
