Description: we took my boat to the lake for some afternoon fun, which almost turned into a disaster. we didn't check to see if the plug was put in before launching, and you probably jknow how the rest went. in the beginning,it looks like there is only a few inches in the boat, but there is a 14 inches of space below the floor, which was where all the water was. the water was gushing through the floor which is what you were seeing. the engine was about half way under water and when i tried to restart it, the pullies and other moving parts were throwing water all over the place, and it was enough force to keep the engine from running. finally, we flagged down some people in another boat and they pulled us to the launch ramp as fast as possible where we pulled it out of the water with my super awsome ford explorer. with the combined power of the drain plug missing and the the bilge pump, it took about 40 minutes to drain.
