Description: In 1954, the UPA studio brought "Frosty" to life in a three-minute animated short which appeared regularly on WGN-TV. This production included a bouncy, jazzy version of the song. It has been a perennial WGN-TV Christmas classic, and was most recently broadcast on December 24 and 25, 2005, and again in 2006, as part of a WGN-TV children's programming retrospective, along with their two other short Christmas classics, "Suzy Snowflake" and "Hardrock, Coco and Joe". |

SteveC619 ::: Favorites 2007-12-21 07:16:16 I am thrilled to see these on here. I grew up watching all these on Garfield Goose. I also had the privelidge of being friends with Garfields creators, Bruce & Claire Newton. Sad to say, Bruce left us just a few weeks ago but in watching these, I reconnect with such fond memories. __________________________________________________

CurstFilmProductions ::: Favorites 2007-12-15 12:54:51 Great reminiscence. The a capella soundtrack is great vocal arranging (not heard that much these days). Even the first sung "Frosty" is a lush jazz chord (a flatted fifth/augmented 11th). Another well-made oldie is "Susie Snowflake" with Rosemary Clooney. __________________________________________________
