badfeetcat ::: Favorites If anyone has any footage of the 1994 revival please post it!!! 07-10-25 19:51:18 __________________________________________________
kerri494 ::: Favorites Dont be held back by your families failures, stand on your own two feet, keep your faith and courage, dont be scared....The world belongs to you. This speach should be taught to all children. Some of us have to fight our way through life for some reason. But when we feel alone, there is always someone out there who will bring us through this. Human kindness, its out there just got to reach out and ask for help. 07-10-18 18:24:00 __________________________________________________
Chiffon56 ::: Favorites Loved this movie as a child, and still love it...especially this scene, and this song. It's kind of become the "theme song" of my life...always overcoming...always walking on. Thanks. 07-10-18 13:13:50 __________________________________________________
crazy4johnnydepp23 ::: Favorites I've uploaded the bit where his daughter is dancing around on the beach! Is that the one you mean?...Check it out! =] Anya xoxo 07-09-19 17:37:52 __________________________________________________
renethel ::: Favorites yes that is true, Billy is really eye candy for Mullins. when i did the show, Mullins had more physical contact (but nothing inappropriate lol) with Billy than in the movie. 07-09-18 18:14:25 __________________________________________________
renethel ::: Favorites oh yes, Lilliom is very dark...and eerie too! 07-09-18 18:11:27 __________________________________________________
majorcana ::: Favorites If I recall, in the stage play, it's made more overt that Billy and Mrs. Mullins have more than just an employer-employee relationship, although that is certainly still hinted at in the film. 07-09-18 18:06:02 __________________________________________________
majorcana ::: Favorites As you probably realize, the changes to the film version were necessitated by the production code that was still observed in Hollywood in 1956. In addition to coarse language, what might be construed as a sympathetic portrayal of suicide was a big no-no. Still, even the stage version isn't quite as dark as the play on which it was based, Ferenc Molnar's "Liliom," which ends with Liliom (Billy) making as much a botch of his opportunity to return to earth as he did everything else in his life. 07-09-18 18:04:00 __________________________________________________
renethel ::: Favorites yeah ur right, i just did the show this summer and it was a litle bit more raw. Mrs. Mullins was softened in the movie too! i was disappointed with the death scene here too b/c Billy dying by accident really does nothing for his character. i'm glad someone felt the same way about that. I love Carousel! 07-09-14 12:53:21 __________________________________________________
branquela82 ::: Favorites I love this scene. I also love the scene where his daughter dances with the carousel animals. Do you have that one? 07-09-13 00:06:34 __________________________________________________ |
