Description: an 8088 XT clone computer (from 1986) running an IRC client that i wrote and compiled with QuickBASIC 7.1 PDS. QuickBASIC is a pretty slow language, you'll see, heheh. This program runs great on a 286 or 386, but not so well on this machine! darijo203 ::: Favorites At some point I realized that If I want to learn how OS/comp. works that I must learn programing...so I started with C and ended up in Assembly. Hard path but it really pays off. I was learning UNIX, DOS and Windows in parallel really quick. Stadinsuomipoika693 ::: Favorites you could want to try learning java (not javascript, thats different. i mean java). Its not so hard, i bought a book about it. First day i made a "hello world" app, second day i made programs that ask the user their name, age etc. third day i got hang of random numbers. Fourth day i did nothing, just did a bunch of stuff i could.
