I love some of the more agressive atheists on youtube... but it's also nice to come across someone in a calmer voice saying basically the same things. 5*

Well done Larry - I hope that you don't mind the informality. Very professional presentation and well written. I enjoyed it very much and will add your series to my favorites. It was on a par will the work of David Mills. I hope this will raise the bar for others aspiring to enter the fray.

Lot's of good points. It is for the reasons that you mention, Larry, that religion encourages submission and discourages questioning.

Slavery was only abolished because British Christians opposed it and politically forced the powerful British Navy to stop the slave trade. Most of the people involved in the Underground Railroad saving runaway slaves were Christians. The main character in Harriet Beecher Stowe's book Uncle Tom's Cabin that was so influential in stopping slavery was based on a man who became a Methodist minister. The Civil War would have never freed the slaves without Christian Abolitionists.

Well done! Why is it that the faith-based cannot grasp the simple concept of human decency? I imagine it must stem from a lack of true perspective of our evolution. Besides, this God....wasn't he/He the same guy who drown his/His kids? Seriously it's all from a lack of consummate education. Research biology's findings on evolution. Then research other disciplines and you start to see a pattern. I'll leave it to your own discovery to see the beauty of that pattern for yourself.
