Description: The fight drags on...indirect damage tends to do that. I've never dealt with a team that focuses on the Spikes family of attacks before, so I had to come up with strategies on the fly when the damage this guy did started to catch up to mine. I used Tangrowth, Phione, and Drifblim. My opponent used Skarmory, Omastar, and Hippowdon. |

| ChaoGuy2006 ::: Favorites 2007-12-16 11:11:01 wow. That really does drain. So Roost after Yawn = No go. __________________________________________________ | |
| Overhazard ::: Favorites 2007-12-16 02:25:26 According to Bulbapedia, it turns out, the lack of a Flying-type stays until the user's next attack. That means, for instance, that if it's put to Sleep right after a Roost, it loses its Flying-type until it wakes up or uses Sleep Talk or Snore. __________________________________________________ | |
| ChaoGuy2006 ::: Favorites 2007-12-15 10:05:08 I think it lasts til the end of the next turn, but don't quote me on that. __________________________________________________ | |
| Overhazard ::: Favorites 2007-11-08 04:43:15 Not all of them are experienced people with many battles. However, if you feel that your team is flawed, that probably means it IS flawed. __________________________________________________ | |
| Cygnus147 ::: Favorites 2007-11-05 23:04:21 Wow great battle. I've never seen a team set up like that! I've been watching the videos of people you've battled and personally they all have clever strategies. It kinda makes me wonder if I need to rethink mine. ^_^ __________________________________________________ | |
| snowyarticuno ::: Favorites 2007-09-22 19:37:19 This case especially, since he was paralyzed, and Surf would have killed it that turn. Plus you had another pokemon in the barracks. __________________________________________________ | |
| TimEddyHughes ::: Favorites 2007-09-14 23:09:46 If you go first, and use roost, it eliminates your flying type for that turn and heals 50% health. If you are last, it just heals 50% health. __________________________________________________ | |
| Overhazard ::: Favorites 2007-09-10 02:29:55 It takes away the Flying-type, though for how long I don't know. __________________________________________________ | |
| Nintendude331 ::: Favorites 2007-09-09 09:51:35 Wait, Roost eliminates the Flying status? I thought it was just like a flying-type Recover. __________________________________________________ | |
| greeneee789 ::: Favorites 2007-09-08 23:51:14 With Skarmory's defenses being what they are, super effective earthquake wont do enough damage to cancel out the benefits of roost. __________________________________________________ | |
| MagmaChomper ::: Favorites 2007-09-08 10:35:52 Wonder why he had Roost...Roost eliminates the Flying Status so EQ would've been super-effective...I think. __________________________________________________ | |
| Overhazard ::: Favorites 2007-09-07 04:06:00 It's a big risk to switch, since in addition to the damage, he (or she) frequently switches Pokémon and uses Roar. If I switched in the same turn as a Roar, two of my Pokémon would take Spikes and Stealth Rock damage. __________________________________________________ | |
| Joshifying ::: Favorites 2007-09-07 03:20:12 Great battle you handled it well, but to your opponent's credit, he or she was remarkable as well. I'm surprised you didn't send Phione out sooner for Hydration to work and to attack Skarmory while you were using turns leafstorming. __________________________________________________ | |
| Jermalie0 ::: Favorites 2007-09-06 21:55:21 lol stall team beattles take FOREVER i fought a dude that used a hail stall team instead of a sanstorm one lol he was reli good n put up a good fight but i won in the end:P nice RELI long battle, prob ur longest by far __________________________________________________ | |
| Overhazard ::: Favorites 2007-09-06 20:32:01 Giving in is certainly better than disconnecting, which happens quite often among American players. I don't mind when surrendering happens; I personally see it as knowing when you no longer have a chance and accepting a loss. Disconnecting, on the other hand, is the equivalent of, "I don't want to play with you anymore." __________________________________________________ | |
